This is Ground Truth. We are starting it today.
We are the solutions engineers at Mirrormapper. We spec the kit, we set it up, and we stay on the phone when a capture will not sit. DJI Solutions Engineering Certified. DJI Delivery Engineer Certified. Workshop in Melbourne. The work is Australia-wide. We do not fly or scan for a living, and we will not write as if we did. The bench work, the handover and the call afterwards: that is who you get when something is wrong.
Hardware, and the software around it
The hardware ideas are simple. An aircraft for open ground and the roof. A handheld walk for rooms, stairs and cover the rotor never sees. A pad when the same flight has to run without a crew standing next to it. Payloads for mapping, LiDAR and heat. We also build our own ground box when a safety case needs aircraft tracking on site.
Most shops stop at the carton. We write software around what comes off the sensor: a scan you can actually send, a thermal folder that becomes a report someone will open, the glue the OEM leaves as files. Same people who handed the kit over.
A place to debrief
Ground Truth is a public debrief for the operators we already support, and for anyone else running the same kit. A capture that will not overlay. A thermal set treated as a map. A pad that looked simple until the link dropped. Send the files. We will sit with them and say what we see.
We will write in the open as well. What we learned on a handover. What the manual actually says. What we have not tested. Not a brochure. Not a flying diary we do not have.
