Can I put a SHARE scanner on a drone?

No. C1 and C10 are ground walks. For aerial LiDAR we spec Matrice and the payload to the job.

What is included with a SHARE scanner?

Configured hardware, SHARE Capture and PointClouds Studio for your deliverable, and handover from the same engineers who stay on support. Setup and training are included. MapShare 50 GB for one year ships with the sale.

Are SHARE scanners in stock in Australia?

Core C1 and C10 kits are in stock, available to buy now, with GST invoices and a 12-month Australian warranty. Lead time is confirmed on the quote for special configs.

Choosing a model

C1, C1 Pro or C10?

C1 for rooms, plant and enclosed spaces. C1 Pro when the cloud needs coordinates on site. C10 when the site is a longer outdoor or mixed walk. Compare the three on this page, then open the series for mounts and kits.

What happened to S20 and S100?

SHARE renamed the S series to C series. S20 SE is C1. S20 RTK is C1 Pro. S100 is C10. Old URLs redirect here.

Will a handheld replace a drone?

No. Handheld covers rooms and under-cover work a flight cannot. Many sites run both into the same project.

On the job

How do you carry these scanners?

C1 is handheld in the kit. Add a survey pole or a Unitree GO2 adaptor when the walk needs height or hands free. C10 is a backpack walk. The backpack is a separate line.

Do glass, mirrors and shiny metal scan cleanly?

Often poorly. Reflections and highlights confuse ranging and colour. Capture the main structure, then verify glass edges and fines with photo or a tape.

Data and software

Is the point cloud a finished CAD set?

No. A point cloud is measured spatial data for review and reference. Drawings and BIM still need a person. Confirm the datum and acceptance criteria before you stamp engineering sheets.

Which formats can we export?

LAS, LAZ, E57 and PLY are the usual path into CAD, Revit and SketchUp. After import the cloud is for viewing, measuring and modelling against, not an editable BIM object by itself.
