The workflow is convert R-JPEG to single-channel float32 TIFF with temperature values preserved, then process in Metashape or similar. Thermal-only structure-from-motion also struggles on low-feature surfaces — we map the realistic path for your asset type during handover rather than promising a one-click ortho.

Emissivity, reflected apparent temperature, capture distance, humidity and atmospheric temperature all feed the radiometric calculation — default emissivity of 1.0 is rarely correct for real materials. Set material-appropriate emissivity in Pilot 2 at capture or correct in analysis software before signing off a report. Standoff zoom and the laser rangefinder help you hold consistent distance on repeat inspections.
