Choosing a model
What's new over Matrice 4TD?
Up to 59 minutes in the air against 54, a 1280 × 1024 thermal camera against 640 × 512 and an 11× telephoto against 7×. It adds LiDAR and millimetre-wave radar sensing, built-in dual 4G, a sub-2 GHz link, a 450 g accessory payload and operation down to -40 °C.
Which accessories can it carry?
The AS2 Speaker, AL2 Spotlight and AP1 Parachute, within a 450 g payload. The parachute takes the top position, and the Accessory Mount adds positions on both sides: the speaker on the left, the spotlight on the right.

What cameras does it carry?
Three 50 MP cameras (wide, 70 mm medium tele and 11× tele, up to 176× hybrid zoom), a 1280 × 1024 thermal camera (2560 × 2048 in UHR mode) that measures from -40 °C to 550 °C, a 3 km laser rangefinder and a near-infrared illuminator.
How long does it fly?
Up to 59 minutes, or 55 minutes hovering, with about 48 minutes of working time per flight. FlyTo tasks reach 21 m/s (15 m/s in other modes), so a target 3 km away is under three minutes.
How well does it see at night?
The 11× telephoto uses an RYYB sensor that takes in about 30% more light, and onboard processing merges frames for 4K colour night video. Night-mode ISO reaches 1,638,400, and a near-infrared light adds black-and-white night vision.
How does it sense obstacles?
Six-direction full-colour vision works with a 360° rotating LiDAR and forward, upward and downward millimetre-wave radar. It senses insulated wire down to 11 mm, and the forward radar measures a 12 mm cable 40 m ahead.
Does it have a flight termination system?
Yes. It's built into the airframe, runs separately from the autopilot and needs at least one 4G SIM. With the AP1 Parachute fitted, it stops the motors and opens the canopy, automatically or from FlightHub 2.
What maintenance does it need?
Basic maintenance every 6 months, regular maintenance with wear parts every 12 months or 500 flight hours, and deep maintenance with a new propulsion system every 36 months or 1,000 flight hours, whichever comes first.
Data and software
How accurate is it for mapping?
About 10 cm aerial triangulation checkpoint accuracy at 120 m, flying nadir or oblique area routes at 12 MP without terrain follow. The electronic rolling shutter is corrected line by line, and smart oblique capture is supported.
What can the onboard AI detect?
17 target types, recognised on the aircraft, including people and vehicles filtered by colour, smoke and fire, livestock, river debris and vehicle types from sedans to excavators. It also flags thermal hotspots and can run third-party AI models.
Can we integrate our own payloads or software?
Yes. Payload SDK (PSDK V4) covers payloads on its E-Port interfaces within the 450 g limit, and DJI Cloud API connects third-party software platforms.
